Cheap beds, a shared apartment with strange people, and things breaking everywhere. There was mold on the walls and in the bathroom, the elevator was broken, and the electricity went out five times in three hours. Even the stairwell walls were falling apart. For 40 euros a night, I guess that’s what you’d expect. Lol, never again.

The hostel was so filthy our group found a bed bug in the bed. The kitchen and bed hadn’t been cleaned properly, with the previous guest’s remains still there, and the floor was sticky. The sweet treat was dirty and went cold quickly. The whole place felt unhygienic. The elevator was frightening too. It was tiny, made a strange noise, and seemed old and neglected. When it stopped at a floor, it kept tipping, which felt scary when you’re a few dozen metres up. This could have been a great hostel if our group had gotten a break from all that. If you go, good luck with your scabies.

We managed to book at short notice, but €293 for two people over three days during the August bank holiday weekend felt a bit expensive for what we got. The room had a comfortable bed and smart TV, and the sheets and towels were clean. It was generally clean, though it didn’t smell disinfected, so I recommend bringing bleach or disinfectant spray to make sure it’s properly sanitised. We had booked a room with a private bathroom. There’s also a shared area with a kitchen, fridge, washing machine, and bathrooms with showers. The elevator is quite old.
