Neobeds

The location is good, but that’s the only positive I can offer. The apartment had a large mold stain in the bathroom and smelled of mildew throughout. The fridge froze all our food. The kitchen wasn’t functionally equipped, and after finding insects and poison we couldn’t use it anyway. There wasn’t even a pan or spatula for basic scrambled eggs, or a sponge and dish soap. We left after just two and a half days. To be fair, the host didn’t charge for the remaining days, which we appreciate. Still, the cockroaches really disturbed us, ruined part of our trip, and moving elsewhere made things more complicated. At first we saw one cockroach and contacted the host. He said he’d put poison down just in case, but claimed the bug probably came from outside. Before bed we checked thoroughly and found the apartment full of insect poison traps, both new and old, with dust on them. The place was dusty and dirty overall, and even more cockroaches appeared the next day. With that much poison around, I’m not sure how safe it is for people to stay there. I strongly don’t recommend this apartment. Those weren’t the only issues.

The historic buildings around here make it lovely to wander, and the location is close to the sights without being caught up in the crowds. We got to enjoy the real Valencia we were hoping for. The place felt like home, and having cleaning products provided was a little luxury for my OCD. When a couple of small things came up, they were sorted out with good communication. We loved staying here.

Kevin was a phenomenal host, and this apartment made a great base for exploring the old town. We stayed for a week in a street-level Neobed on a quiet dead-end street about two blocks from the Torres dels Serrans. There’s a grocery store nearby, Rita's cafe for breakfast or lunch, a fruit shop, and a great pizza place, Ghittione Napoletano. The efficient apartment had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and a washer-dryer. You can’t go wrong with it.

A cozy little place with everything you need inside. It's really close to the center of Valencia :)
