The mattress was worn and so uncomfortable that, within minutes, it seemed impossible to stay even one night, let alone the four we’d booked. The room smelled strongly and unpleasantly, as if it hadn’t been cleaned or ventilated properly, and it looked visibly dirty and poorly maintained. The condition fell far below a reasonable standard for guest accommodation. We reported the problems within minutes of arriving and were told someone would call us. Nobody did. There was no follow-up, apology or attempt to fix things or offer another option. We were left feeling that management had no regard for guests or basic hospitality. With the hygiene issues and no response, we had no choice but to leave almost immediately and find somewhere else at short notice. Our stay at Palacios Rooms was one of the worst accommodation experiences we’ve had. The place is misrepresented and poorly managed, and doesn’t meet basic expectations for cleanliness, comfort or customer service. We’d strongly advise future guests to avoid it, especially if hygiene and basic comfort matter to you.

There’s plenty of parking and the staff are very friendly, with good service. The price is good too, though it’s a bit far from the historic centre, other tourist attractions and the beach. My only real minus was the shower cabin, which was tiny and quite claustrophobic.

My one complaint was the AC schedule. They only let you turn it on at specific times, adding up to almost 12 hours a day. That was annoying for two days when the temperature was above 30 degrees Celsius. Apart from that, it’s a very clean, quiet hostel with really nice staff who do their best to meet your needs. It’s well located, and you can get everywhere by public transport.

The place is clean and quiet, the staff are very nice, and the location is pretty good. But before check-in you get so many long instruction emails that it feels like you have to read a book just to avoid missing important information. The room key code was hidden somewhere among hundreds of lines of text. Really weird.

The neighbourhood has plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and the staff are friendly. I stayed for four days and have no complaints. It’s a nice, clean hotel, and they serve free breakfast every morning from 09:00 to 11:00.
