Soho Boutique Turia

We stayed at Soho Boutique Hotel in Valencia in July. The room was clean and nicely furnished, with a very comfortable king-size bed. Its shape was a little unusual rather than a standard square, and the view wasn't anything special, but neither bothered us. The AC ran quietly and worked well overnight. The clean, good-quality baby bed was included at no extra cost. The bathroom was spacious, with a tub and separate shower, although the shower drain was clogged during our stay and couldn't be fixed. The location was a real plus. It's in a nice neighborhood with restaurants, shops, and supermarkets within walking distance. The city center and Ruzafa, with its cafes and restaurants, are each around 15-20 minutes away on foot. The bus stop is just around the corner, and getting to the beach by public transport was easy, taking about 30-40 minutes. Our airport taxi took about 25 minutes. Breakfast was fine to get the day started. The small space was functional, and there was juice, toast, sweet pastries, cereal, eggs, and other options. The coffee machine was the weak point. It was like a big office Nespresso machine, with not much variety or great-tasting coffee, and no cappuccino, for example. A good-value, comfortable, clean place if you'll mostly be out exploring the city. If you're after upscale amenities and more luxury, this may not be the right fit.

We expected better for the price, and didn't get a restful stay or good service. When we arrived early, it was understandable that the room wasn't ready. We were told to come back at 2 PM, but at 2:40 it still wasn't ready. Staff seemed confused and kept asking whether we were checking out. The first night was cold because the heating wasn't enough, and the duvet came without a proper cover. We raised it the next day, but all staff could provide was a simple blanket to put over it, so the problem wasn't really resolved. Noise from the street and neighboring rooms came through, and other guests were very loud on both nights. The curtains didn't cover the windows fully either, so streetlights shone in and made it even harder to sleep. The hotel only provided fresh water when we arrived, despite charging the full price for every night. The parking arrangements were frustrating too. There's a space by the entrance for loading and unloading, but another couple were allowed to leave their car there until their noon checkout. I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy, and the staff seemed reluctant to help, leaving us to manage without proper assistance. The hotel was Soho Boutique Turia in Valencia. I'd recommend finding somewhere else that takes guests' comfort and service more seriously.

The stay was good overall, and the beds were comfortable. One day, our towels weren't replaced, but we asked and got fresh ones within 10 minutes. The soap ran out on the second-to-last day and wasn't replenished. Valencia Soho Boutique Hotel is reasonably priced and decent, though other hotels in the same range offer a more impressive experience.

A nice hotel in a great location 💂🏻. The staff were helpful, the room was lovely, and the shower soap and shampoo weren't perfumed or full of nasty stuff. Breakfast was nicely normal.
