Plaza Redonda Apartments

The windows didn't keep out the sound from the main square, so it can get noisy, though it wasn't too bad for us. We had a comfortable, clean, spacious flat in a great spot in the old town. Check-in went smoothly, and the personal recommendations we received were very good.

Restaurants, the cathedral, and Plaza de l'Ayuntamiento are all within walking distance. The apartment itself is excellent, with spacious rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. They even provided dishwashing liquid for the dishwasher.

We booked this exactly as advertised, expecting something luxurious. It was well above our usual travel budget, and we chose it for a special birthday. That turned out to be a bad decision. The apartment is very central, but has no soundproofing, so the noise is unbearable until the nearby bars shut. Cleanliness was practically nonexistent, and the building elevator was out of order. They charge an extra €30 for late check-in if you arrive even five minutes after 9 pm, with no empathy for the problems that can happen on the road. They also demand a €200 deposit in cash, for which I had to insist on a receipt, or ask for a credit card without a payment gateway, which I don't think is even legal. The price is exorbitant for what you get. I've stayed in much better two-star hostels. I regret booking and wouldn't recommend it or return.

We stayed in the penthouse for several days and won't go back or recommend this company or its apartments. They supplied only enough toilet paper for the first day. Towels that were supposed to be changed daily cost extra to replace, which is disgraceful. Worse, they kept our deposit, saying the towels and sheets were dirty and they wouldn't be able to sell the apartment that day. Aren't sheets changed for each new guest? Surreal and unacceptable. They are white-collar thieves. Valencia Luxury is neither honest nor reputable.
