The rooms were spacious, well equipped, and soundproof, which really helped with little ones. We could walk to the beach, aquarium, and historic city, with a convenience store and nice cafes just a couple of minutes away. We'd definitely stay again. We spent four nights at the villa for my mum's 60th birthday, and everything went perfectly. Leon and Katie had arranged a cake and wine for our arrival on their own, and check-in was flexible and super friendly. They provided cots and highchairs, were very responsive throughout, and even went out of their way to post something we'd left behind. Amazing hosts, hard to beat.

The house has a classic feel with modern touches, and it's fully equipped for relaxing or working remotely. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely, close to everything. Renting a bicycle is all you need to explore Valencia. For a solo traveler like me, this is a little gem. The hosts are lovely, especially Leon, whose welcome was so warm. They reply quickly, are super friendly and helpful, and gave me some nice recommendations for getting started in Valencia. After that, it's up to you to explore. I fell in love with Valencia and will definitely come back to Portrait guesthouse.

I had a great stay and rented a bike to see all the amazing sights around Valencia. A local shop gave a discount on the rental through the stay affiliation :) The guest house was really nice and meticulously clean, with a cool shared space downstairs, a modern kitchen, and a sweet patio. Leon and Katie were welcoming and available if needed.

There were eight of us, so we had the whole guesthouse. The decor was gorgeous, it was well equipped, and the garden was amazing. Bedrooms were comfortable, and sharing a bathroom caused no problems. The location was great, close to bus stops. We got a lovely welcome, and even though we arrived very early, we could leave our cases. On departure day we left them again, which let us enjoy our last day. The highlight was an exquisite meal cooked especially for us by chef Leon, Katie's husband, with Katie hosting and pairing a wine perfectly with each course. A fabulous experience for all of us. Thank you, Katie and Leon.

Valencia is such a beautiful city. Our group of eight friends bought a card for ten bus journeys each from the Tabac shop, then hopped on and off all day. We went to the nearby beach for lovely dinners and visited the historic old town. We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful hotel. Leon and Katie were wonderful hosts, and the high point was Leon cooking the best meal I've ever had while Katie hosted and chose just the right wine for every course. I highly recommend visiting Valencia and staying at the portrait hotel.
