Residencia Trinitarios

I was there for three months and wouldn't recommend it if you're after a quiet, comfortable place to live. The rooms were small, the beds tiny, and the mattresses uncomfortable. It wasn't suitable for studying or working, and there was no coffee machine. Thin walls and almost no insulation from outside meant I could hear everything. There was construction just one metre from the building, and nobody warned me or offered compensation or a discount. Some parts of the place smelled of sewage. The air conditioner leaked, and they took two weeks to fix it. Cleaning happened only once every two weeks, and I saw hair and even cockroaches during my stay. Customer service was poor, with problems ignored or taking far too long to sort out. They also held my deposit until the final day of my contract, two months later, even though Spanish law requires its return within a month. Only after I'd booked and paid did they tell me in a private chat that sheets weren't included, and I'd have to pay extra for them. That felt misleading and inconvenient.

The location was great, and there were well-kept shared spaces, including a kitchen and sitting areas. I stayed over a long weekend, and my room for one was tidy, fairly spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The downside was how much came through the thin walls. I could hear everything happening in the other rooms, which made it hard to sleep.

I loved staying at this residence and would definitely return to Valencia if it's available. It's been newly renovated in a simple, elegant style, with a communal kitchen and laundry facilities. The location is ideal for getting around on foot, and the team offered great support and kept in touch wonderfully. Sergio even helped me find a dentist when I needed a filling repaired on my last day.

The location is amazingly central, but I can't recommend the place. There's a construction site next door, and I could hear every word the neighbours said, as if they were right behind a thin door. The facilities smelled really bad, like the odour was coming straight from the sewer. The interior was already a bit worn, too.
