Valencia Luxury - Sea Port I

We stayed one night out of the seven we’d booked and got no refund. The rooms are quite small, and it looked nothing like the pictures. The listing makes the stay sound lovely, but that wasn’t what we found. There’s no private terrace for the rooms, just a shared rooftop space where half-naked kids were smoking ***. Very disappointing. Definitely would not recommend.

Online communication about the check-in details was super easy, and within a 100-meter circle there’s just about everything you need for a longer stay: lovely coffee shops, grocery stores, and even a self-service laundry 20 meters away. Those little conveniences matter. I stayed five nights with my wife. The apartment was clean and comfortable, though we heard a bit of street noise at night. The main downside is the location. For just one or two days in Valencia, I’d choose somewhere downtown.

The sewage smell was the worst part by far. It was strong throughout the building, including the stairs, elevator, and apartments. It was unbearable and felt unhygienic and hazardous to health. The problem was already there when we arrived, so the landlords knew about it but still let guests move in. During our three-day stay nobody came to inspect or fix it. The roof terrace also looked nothing like the photos. The apartment is modernly furnished, but clearly showing its age. The windows are poor quality, and even shut, they let in extremely loud street noise from the junction of three main roads. Moving from the second to the fifth floor made no difference, and we couldn’t get restful sleep. An earlier check-in wasn’t possible despite our request. The paperwork and security deposit were easy to complete online before arrival. Shortly before 3 p.m., we got the access details on WhatsApp and could move in right away without further arrangements.
