Hotel Pura Vida

The owners were so kind and the service was wonderful. This little hotel in a charming town is beautifully designed, very clean, and serves a great breakfast. Highly recommended.

What really stayed with me was how much care Javi and Ascens have put into this place. There’s such craftsmanship in the details, from the art on the walls and beautiful furniture to the carefully designed rooms and enormous King+ beds. Javi designed the boutique hotel himself, and it shows. During our 4-day stay, they kept making us feel welcome. When we arrived, Javier (Javi) and Ascension (Ascens) greeted us so warmly that we felt like long lost relatives, the kind they actually liked. They continued to make us feel at home the whole time. Javi also helped us plan things to do, including towns and bodegas to visit, monasteries to see, and restaurants to try. If you’re coming to this region, stay here. Even if you aren’t, I’d say come just to stay at Pura Vida. I hope they’ll still have a room for us whenever we return.

Thanks so much for having us. The garden was beautiful, with roses and stone paths, and the decor was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious, and they had a high chair ready for our infant. Walks, restaurants, wineries, and mountains are all nearby. Absolute perfection in a gorgeous part of Basque.

Ascencion and Javier are marvelous people. The hotel has a great design and is always really clean, and the Spanish breakfast was excellent. Perfect place!
