It was a pleasure staying here. The hotel has an old-fashioned feel alongside newer innovations, and the location is very good, close to both the city center and train station. Breakfast was good, and mentioned twice, very good.

The room itself was pretty nice and the location was incredible, but the bed was one of the worst I’ve ever slept on. Water leaked from the shower door all over the floor, and the hair dryer didn’t work. If the bed had been sleepable, I’d have given it four stars. As it is, two.

The balcony rooms look out over the park, and opening the windows with a morning coffee is a must. There’s a nice bar with an outdoor patio behind it. The air conditioner works well, the free breakfast is very good, and the staff are friendly. Rooms are large, and the location is handy for walking to central park, downtown shopping, and restaurants. I’ve traveled through France, and this place compares very highly. The shower is a bit small, but premium rooms are available if that matters to you. The bed is two long twin beds pushed together. Parking is the usual underground type, so I wouldn’t recommend it for large vehicles.

The stay was disappointing and unrestful. The place feels dated, with thin walls and minimal bedding, and it didn’t feel welcoming. Be careful booking a premium room unless you know which one you’ll get: they differ in size, and some have dormer windows that make the room very dark. Maybe the non-premium rooms are better.

The location is the best thing about this nice hotel. The beds felt basic and well used, and we didn’t get maid service during the two days we stayed.
