Plenty of room in this place, and the staff were helpful. It’s in a great location, too. The old house has a real back-in-time feel, which made it a great place to stay.

The owners were a 10, and we’d love to come back. This rural house has a special, authentic feel, with stone and wood and history showing in the details. It was comfortable and quiet, just right for switching off. The mountain is right there, and the beach is 15 minutes away by car, with magnificent surroundings all around.

We were there from Wednesday to Sunday last week, and left disappointed. We couldn’t use the bins because we weren’t given the key, and there was no hot water in the master bathroom for our whole stay. The second-floor floor was so dirty that going barefoot wasn’t possible. The owner also came across as unfriendly and quite despotic. I wouldn’t recommend this place, as it fell short of basic cleanliness, upkeep, and guest service.

The bells rang every hour, day and night, which capped off a terrible stay. The building is very old and run-down, and the floors were so dirty that walking barefoot wasn’t an option. One floor had no hot water, and the scratched pans were unusable because everything stuck. Communication with the owner was very limited. They later said no trash had been taken out, but we hadn’t been told how the system worked.
