I’m sorry, but I can’t recommend this place. We were sitting at one of their outdoor tables and went in to ask if we could get a Coke and a beer. The response was appalling. It’s disgraceful to treat people that way, especially when the place depends on tourism and the town fills up every weekend. Without that, they’d be among the places struggling to survive. We were hoping to grab something around lunchtime during our visit to the town on Sunday. There were people outside having beers and snacks, and we spotted an empty table. When it became clear no one was serving, I went in to ask how it worked, since I wasn't sure whether we had to order at the counter. There was a small “Full Dining Room” notice on the door, but we weren't trying to eat inside. The woman running the place asked if I couldn't read and suggested I was trying to sneak around the rule. She was rude and practically pushed me out. I laughed, but she didn't. I was taken aback by how unprofessional she was. Sharing this in case it helps someone avoid the same bad experience.

The food was freshly made, fully homemade, and everything we tried tasted great. We had noodle soup, lamb chops and roast beef, plus dessert and her homemade yogurt. It was simple, well prepared, comforting food, just right for a cold day. The little tables are plain but charming, and stepping inside felt like being at your Castilian grandmother's house. The food mattered more than how the living room looked. Concha runs the restaurant, kitchen and rural guesthouse on her own, which is admirable. Keeping a business going in rural Spain is hard, and some people leaving negative reviews don't seem to consider that. She is honest, which is what people say they want, yet some complain when they find it. If you're visiting the village from the city and expect a typical restaurant with an urban pace, this probably isn't for you. It's part of rural culture. I'd suggest stopping by before your visit to book a table and tell them what you'd like to eat, which makes things easier for both the owner and the customer. This is a review of the restaurant only. I haven't stayed at the rural guesthouse, so I can't comment on it. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work!

Seven of us stopped by yesterday for a drink, and somehow it turned into a meal. The homemade food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Concha's sense of humor made the whole visit even more fun. She's the best.
