The studio was very clean, but tiny and without a view. We got just one piece of soap for two people over two nights. It felt isolated, yet was pretty noisy: if someone in another apartment coughed, everyone could hear it. The bed was much too soft, and what we got felt a bit pricey.

A beautiful place for a great stay. The apartment was clean, cosy and comfortable, and so well equipped it had literally everything you could need.

The apartment was easy on the budget and close to the airport, which was handy. It’s surrounded by greenery and had everything we needed for a few days on El Hierro. They stayed in touch in case we needed anything. Just remember payment is cash, though they tell you a few days ahead so you can plan.

I still enjoyed the island itself, it’s beautiful and peaceful, but I tried to get back to the apartments as late as I could. I’d been looking forward to returning to El Hierro after 20 years, and the place seemed okay when we first arrived. Then I saw the utility room. It was awful, with nowhere proper to wash even a few dishes, so I had to use the sink. The website photos only show what suits them. Reception was barely there. There’s a box to leave the money, and if it’s stolen, you have to pay again. The apartment had no ventilation and plenty of other problems. The better reviews seem to be about the sea-view apartments, and even those aren’t exactly glowing.
