This tile explains what the old Church and Convent of the Conceptionist Nuns is used for today. It says the convent church of the Conceptionist Nuns was donated to the village of Vejer by Mrs. Luisa Castrillon Ortega for cultural, recreational, and religious activities. The tile is credited to Ramírez Ceramics and includes the wording “Year of”.

A lovely little corner of Vejer de la Frontera. It’s worth wandering through the narrow streets and coming across hidden gems like this.

This was built in the 18th century. It’s probably Vejer’s most photographed spot and one of the town’s symbols, with breathtaking views and the classic white village look of Cádiz. From the town center, you can reach it by winding through steep streets, then pass through it to enter the Jewish Quarter.

The location was the one bright spot. Inside, though, the house had a stale, musty smell, like it hadn't been opened in ages. Dust covered the fans, and little spiders were scattered around the house.
