The room was basic, but the night was very quiet. The main drawback was a horrible smell from the bathroom, so we kept the door shut. Staff were helpful about places to eat nearby and were there if we needed an extra blanket. The bus stop is close, and the location just outside the old city centre made it more interesting to explore. This is a beautiful pueblo blanco worth visiting for 24 hours. There are lovely views, especially from the Mirador cafe up top, looking out over the Atlantic.

It’s a two-star hostel, so don’t expect too much. The location is nice, and the rooms are about what you’d expect at that rating. Service is standard, neither especially good nor bad.

A lot was wrong with the room. I got locked in the bathroom, and there was no shampoo, just shower gel. The blinds were broken and wouldn’t work, the TV was tiny, and the headboard was loose, so you could hear everything. The cleaners also opened the room without knocking, showing no consideration for people trying to rest. A disaster!
