B bou Hotel Cortijo Bravo

The restaurant served excellent food, and most of the staff there were great. A few became friendlier as the week went on and they realized we were staying longer than one night, which was a bit disappointing. Service should be the same for everyone. Breakfast was alright, with a nice hot option, though the continental buffet could be better. We chose this lovely hotel for a relaxing week because it's quite isolated, and the location really did help us unwind. But there are a lot of weddings, with guests changing over about every day or night. Our ground-floor room was very noisy because of that. Longer-stay guests should be put somewhere quieter, like an upper floor. We raised the issue, but nothing was offered to fix it, so customer service was disappointing too.

The rooms are plain but nicely furnished, and the setting is beautiful with a very friendly team. The pool area is great. We had very good food, and the pianist's live music made the atmosphere really pleasant. I'd recommend having dinner while you're there.

We came to Cortijo Bravo for a wedding and stayed three days and four peaceful nights. Weddings seem to happen here nearly every day, but the ceremony spaces are set away from the main buildings, so it stayed quiet and relaxing. Jennifer, Alberto, Mar, and Vaitiare were especially kind and professional. The whole staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast was fantastic, and lunch and dinner at the restaurant were delicious and beautifully presented too. A wonderful stay, and we'd gladly return for another peaceful holiday or event.

It's easy to spend time by the salt water pool: walk through the lovely garden, enjoy the views, and use the honesty bar and bathrooms without going back to the main building. Dinner is a la carte, at prices pretty much in line with Europe. The location and views are fantastic, both by day and at sunset, and the kind, helpful staff soon feel like an extended family. The rooms, though, need serious maintenance. Our first room had just been cleaned, but smelled disgusting because of 'dirt' in the sewage pipes. The woman at the desk acted right away and moved us, though I was surprised housekeeping hadn't reported the problem. The next room looked fine at first, but on night one a bed leg that had been broken for some time gave way, and the floor tile was badly scratched. There was also clogged dust in the vents, a shower that came off, a leaking shower cabin that flooded the floor, an electrical problem, and coffee cups, water, and glasses or mugs sometimes weren't replaced, filled, or cleaned. I like the location and staff, but the rooms need work to bring the hotel from great back to amazing.
