Hotel Restaurante La Teja

There’s plenty of outdoor space and parking, and inside it’s a large restaurant with lots of traditional Spanish charm. I’ve stopped in a few times for coffee and toastada. Service was poor this time, though. They weren’t especially busy, but getting the bar staff’s attention was a challenge. I’ve had better service here before, so I’m looking forward to coming back and seeing whether this was a one-off.

I travel all over the world, and this was a terrible experience. I stopped for food at 9:30 pm, sat at a table for 30 minutes, and nobody served me or even asked what I wanted. I’ll make sure groups coming from America and Australia don’t stop here. This is beyond criticism. You’d be better off closing and leaving people in charge.

The receptionist made check-in quick and easy, and was extremely helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the price was very reasonable. I felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I came across this hotel unexpectedly while traveling late at night from Madrid to Granada, looking for somewhere to rest. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable, and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it.

My father stayed here the other night. He’s 76 and uses a walking stick. When he asked the man at reception for help with his bags, the request was outright refused. Denying any assistance to a man with a walking stick? Brilliant ethics there.
