Casa Rural Hoces del Cabriel

Nuria and Rosa made the weekend for us. Nuria was always smiling and quick to adjust things to what the group needed, while Rosa worked behind the scenes and became the star at lunch and dinner. Everyone at the hostel gave them a big round of applause on our last day. The rooms were comfortable, with sturdier wooden bunks than I've seen at other hostels, and having a full bathroom in every room worked well for a large group. We also booked the multi-adventure outing for Sunday, and it was great. The three instructors adapted things for each person, whether someone was reluctant to join in or found an activity harder. Service here is above average.

A friend introduced me to this place, and it feels just right for a family trip. The person who runs it is wonderfully attentive, clearly enjoys the work, and makes you feel at home. You can arrange adventure activities there with avensport too, and the managers and instructors are lovely. Since this is wine country, I should add that the food and wine pairings are really good. Perfect. A hug to everyone, we'll be back!

There are plenty of adventure sports to try, and the hostel has a great atmosphere and really good food. 😊

Such a shame about the stay. It was 38 degrees Celsius during the day and there was no air conditioning in the rooms, so sleeping in the heat was impossible. Our room was dirty, and the dining room was just as stuffy, with everything closed up and no air conditioning there either. We even had to bring our own chairs and set up the table to eat. We'll come back for the activities, but not to this hostel.
