We'd been to Vera before, but this was our best stay. We booked a private apartment called VILLA SALITRE through Booking.com, in a quiet part of the area where we couldn't hear a thing all night. The complex is gated, accessible only with keys, and very well kept. There are two fairly large pools and play areas where the kids could run around and make friends. The apartment was airy and cool, with Wi-Fi and all the essentials. The bed is huge, and the sofa bed is large and easy to use. Supermarkets are very close, and the beach is a 10-minute walk. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, while Garrucha is a 5-minute drive away and has a livelier atmosphere. For younger people or couples, there are spots with terraces and a nightclub where you can get a drink, plus children's play areas and a swimming pool. Jorge and Marta were attentive and quick to respond. They made sure we were comfortable and gave us a guidebook with information on new places to visit and directions to the complex. We were delighted with the stay and the service, and would definitely return. 100% recommended.
