The food was great value, €45 for three of us with some soft drinks. Getting a table and working out the menu took a bit of effort, though, and the service didn't seem happy to help customers who didn't speak Catalan or Spanish.

For €15, the set meal is a great deal: appetizer, main, dessert, coffee, water, and a whole bottle of wine. It's proper tavern food, and the place is nicely decorated. The bar was full of men watching football, of course. It feels like this tavern has been here for millennia. For a more upscale meal at a slower pace, go across the street.

The staff were really nice, and reception is inside the bar. My stay was wonderful, though the room was quite basic and had no air conditioning. They did have a nice standing fan.
