Ço de Pierra

A beautiful place, and an excellent stay.

Our room was incredible. We had room 8, all wood, with a walk-in shower and two bathrooms. One shower was clearly marked as out of order, but we managed fine. They also kindly set up a crib for our daughter with sheets and a blanket. The hotel is just beyond Vielha, close enough to walk into town, and the quiet location had lots of parking. We came for a family weekend and found the service welcoming, friendly, and respectful. Breakfast was delicious too. We'd definitely return, it was a great choice for us.

We only saw the owners when we arrived. After that, the only person around was a female employee, and we couldn't speak with anyone else. We also weren't given Wi-Fi. The apartment itself is lovely, with a usable fireplace in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a complete bathroom, though there's nowhere in the shower to put soap. The bedroom is roomy and the mattress is good, but the pillow feels like a brick. Sleeping was difficult with no curtains or blinds to block the light from the spotlight outside, and the circuit breaker in the bedroom makes noise.

They cancelled our two-week booking the day before we were due to arrive, despite our having already checked in online. They said it was because of overbooking. I'm honestly very disappointed. With only 24 hours' notice, finding another hotel at a reasonable price is impossible.
