B&B Hotel Vigo

The location worked perfectly for sightseeing and business, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and very clean, so I had no trouble resting. Some renovation work is going on, but it didn’t affect my stay; it was handled discreetly, and all hotel services were available. B&B Hotel Vigo is improving and already has everything needed for a peaceful, pleasant stay.

The breakfast was adequate but offered few choices, and during my week there the juice machine worked properly just once. Getting to the nearby parking was impossible; the available garage is farther away and really only suitable for small cars. Taller cars can’t even get in. The room was spacious, but it needs updating: there were mold spots and broken bathroom tiles, and although it was cleaned daily, the whole room needed a deeper clean. There’s no sound insulation at all. I could hear everything from other rooms, even people snoring, and trust me, that wasn’t a truck engine next door. The key cards kept demagnetizing even when I carried them in a proper wallet. Reception usually wasn’t available in the early hours. I go to the gym every morning, and at 0700 I had to wait by the door for someone to show up and let me in. The doorbell is hidden beside a big pipe, and the receptionist was unpleasant when I knocked instead of being at their post. Not the best experience ever.

The balcony had a beautiful panoramic view, the one positive part of our suite. The room was very dirty, with lots of dust and a table that clearly hadn’t been wiped, and there was mold in the bathroom. What we found looked completely different from the pictures online. Breakfast felt extremely cheap and was very poor: no eggs, the cheapest kind of croissants, and whole fruit that hadn’t even been sliced. It seemed like they were cutting every corner. The coffee tasted bad, and the tables were dusty and unclean. For the same price, you can get something much tastier and fresher nearby, so paying for breakfast here makes no sense. It wasn’t worth the money, and I don’t recommend this place.

A constant dripping noise made it hard to sleep. The hotel was under construction, but that hadn’t been mentioned in the reservation. Front desk service was terrible, with one man being totally rude. The coffee was terrible too, and breakfast was marginal.
