Vigo Bay Apartments by Olala Homes

We booked through VRBO for New Year’s Eve, but when we arrived in Vigo there were no check-in instructions, just a missed call. When I asked about it, I was told the room wasn’t available, so we had nowhere to stay that night and had to find somewhere else at the last minute, in the middle of nowhere. I was emailed a promise of a refund if I cancelled, even though we had a non-refundable rate. I cancelled and got nothing back. Four months later I’m still trying to get the refund. VRBO repeatedly said they’d refund me once they contacted olola homes, but nothing has come through, so I’m trying through my credit card provider now. It’s not a lot of money in the big scheme of things, but I paid for something I didn’t get and also had other expenses because of it. I’d avoid dealing with this company again.
