Cubez Hostel Viladrau

We were there for 3 nights in a room with its own bathroom. The room had a lovely view, the shower had strong pressure and very hot water, and our two hosts were friendly and helpful with all our questions. They were happy to bring me an extra blanket. Breakfast was simple, but fresh and nicely arranged, and the place was very affordable. The trouble was the heating: it only came on around 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm, then again from 6 am to 8 am. When it was on, we were fine, but otherwise the room was freezing at night. Since we visited in late autumn, I think we’d have been less cold at another time of year, and my review would have been entirely positive.

If you’re after quiet, space to yourself, and hiking, you’ll probably love this spot up the mountain. We enjoyed our 2 nights there, and the staff were really friendly. They also did our laundry and helped us figure out buses and directions. It was a beautiful, peaceful place, and our room had a pretty view.

Usman Khan welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips for hikes nearby. When my friend left something behind by accident, Usman was so helpful that he mailed it back to us. Our room was spacious and looked out over the village, about a 10-minute walk away. The hostel was clean and nicely furnished, and breakfast was very complete, with the option to eat on the terrace. A great base for visiting Viladrau and exploring Montseny Park.

We spent a week at Cubez Hostel Viladrau with our two kids, aged 7 and 8, and it turned into one of our best family holidays. We had a beautiful view over the Viladrau forest, and waking up to it each morning felt magical. The staff were warm and welcoming from our first booking call, and the clean, comfortable hostel felt like home after busy days out. There was plenty to do nearby. The kids loved the local council outdoor pool, and we enjoyed Viladrau’s old town, a delicious lunch, and a natural waterfall tucked away in the forest. We also made day trips to Barcelona, Girona, Palamós, and some gorgeous Costa Brava beaches for swimming. Thanks for such a special holiday. We’d love to return and would recommend Cubez Hostel Viladrau for nature, sunshine, and kind hospitality.
