The property is quaint and lovely, and the staff are nice, but some maintenance seems to have been neglected. We weren’t told there was no air conditioning, so we left the door open to cool the room. That let in bugs, and something flying stung my wife.

A fun place for a weekend away from Barcelona, with lots to do, good food, friendly people, and eclectic decor. You can bring your dog too! 🐕

Great for families, with clean rooms and comfortable bedding. We especially enjoyed the meals, pool, scenery, animals, and the very friendly, helpful staff. We only wish we’d booked a longer stay. Highly recommended for a city break.

We live on Mallorca and go to Barcelona each year to have our Dutch car serviced, then make a short holiday of the trip. On the mainland we usually miss the island feeling, but found it again at Hostal La Guineu. It was such a lucky find. Our room was clean and bright, with views over the mountains and garden, and we could work conveniently from it. We also ate delicious food in the restaurant three times a day and were looked after by really friendly staff. We felt at home, so it’s going on our list of favourites. We’re already looking forward to the car inspection next year and another stay at the hostal.

The food was absolutely wonderful, the staff lovely, and the place itself beautiful and very comfortable. You can get there by bus, but check the schedule carefully, or just go by car. I’d love to return for a longer stay and spend more time enjoying the idyllic surroundings.
