Hotel Ribes Roges

The location is just right, close to the beach but far enough from the heart of Vilanova. I booked this 2* hotel to see whether the reviews were true, and they actually exceeded what I’d read. Rafael the owner is warm and welcoming. Our room was bright and spotless, with airco/heating and even a terrace. The bed was very comfortable, with crisp white linen and two pillow options. They’d left cava and chocolates as a New Year’s gift, a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was outstanding, with lots of fresh, quality choices. Although it’s listed as a 2* hotel, in many ways it’s better than several 4* hotels I’ve stayed in.

I stayed in July 2024 and found the city calm and peaceful, much like the people. The hotel is very close to the beach, restaurants, and markets, and both the owner and staff are friendly. Breakfast has something for all sorts of people. It may only have 2 stars, but I think The Ribes Rogers deserves almost 3. I’ve seen plenty of 3-star hotels around Europe and haven’t found accommodation like this. The hotel, its atmosphere, and the location are all spectacular. I forgot to post this here after leaving my review on Booking.com. I hope I can come back soon!

Breakfast was well above average and better than I expected, definitely worth it. The local staff give this small hotel a great atmosphere. It doesn’t have a famous name or location, but its authentic feel is what makes it appealing.

The breakfast was delicious, especially if you enjoy meat. We slept well because it was so quiet and peaceful at night. Hotel Ribes Roges is very close to the beach, and our hosts were friendly and pleasant. Our room was lovely and clean, overlooking a nicely decorated garden. We had an amazing stay and will definitely visit Vilanova and this hotel again. Family Stanojevic
