The set menu was €15, and both the food quality and portion size were excellent. We stopped in for lunch.

The bathroom had everything, but there was no shower screen or curtain, so showering meant getting the whole room wet. A rusty, twisted curtain rod made it clear why there wasn't one. And the towels were so worn and thin they felt like tissues from the trash. They didn't dry us and rubbed our skin raw. Over three nights and four days, nobody cleaned the room or changed the towels. When the toilet paper ran out, we had to use tissues. There was no service at all, and hardly anyone at the hotel. I only saw someone on the first night to pay for the first two nights and get the key, then at checkout to pay for the last night and return the key card. The room was bleak. One of its two windows had no blind, leaving us in near darkness all day. It was stiflingly hot, with no way to air the room out. At night, hungry mosquitoes poured in through the only window that opened and bit us constantly. That explained the many little dark blood stains on the walls. Disgusting. We were stuck there for three nights because there was nowhere nearby to sing, otherwise we'd have left after the first night. The whole stay was a disaster. At checkout, the receptionist's friendly greeting was simply, “One night's charge, 45 euros.” No good morning, no asking how the stay was, not even an offer of coffee, which you'd pay for at the bar anyway. This is appalling service for 45 euros a night, the kind of price you'd pay for decent accommodation if anything had been available on those dates. We only stopped for lunch because our usual place wouldn't serve us, but they’ve won three more customers. The portions were generous, the prices were great, and the service was top-notch. They treated us wonderfully.
