After the long walk from Ponferrada, Loli’s warmth and the comfortable room made this one of my best places to stay on the Camino. At Tres Campanas in Villafranca del Bierzo, Loli, the owner, welcomed me like family. The room was modern and clean, with everything I needed, plus huge windows looking out to beautiful mountain views. Book this place, you won't regret it!

Villafranca feels like a little slice of heaven, and the view is excellent. The place itself is lovely, with hot showers, a bathtub, and a clean, great breakfast. The host is delightful, so welcoming and kind. The location is good, though it’s a bit up the hill. Still wonderful, can't complain!

The building is new and spotless, and the bed was amazing. I stayed one night on the Camino de Santiago. Breakfast had everything I needed, plus a big mug of coffee. Awesome place overall, and the lady was really nice 🙂

When you finish the long walk from Ponferrada, give yourself a hot shower and a great night's rest before the long uphill walk to CEBREIRO. It's worth the extra 500 meters, and in the morning the walk back to join the Camino is downhill. I first met Loli Leon five years ago when I stayed at her architecturally-designed hostel. I've been back FOUR times, and love it more each time. TRES COMPANAS is BEAUTIFUL, the beds are AMAZING, and Loli is the best host EVER. No hostal on the Camino can compare. It is a bit out of the way, but 500 meters on an 800 kilometer trail? BUEN CAMINO!

The views are lovely, and the staff are great. Breakfast was good too. The only downside after a long day of hiking is that this is at the far end of town and up a hill. Still a great stop on the Camino Frances.
