The old town has a lot of steps, so it could be tough for anyone with mobility issues. We loved our stay, though. The apartment was fabulous, with lovely balconies and a terrace, just 10 steps from the beach. Service was very good, and having a reception in town was really handy. The kids loved going to the beach on their own, and I could watch them from the balcony. We’ll be back.

The owner waited an extra hour for me to check in, which was really kind, especially after a tiring travel day when I needed to wait for the key. They also noticed I was considering relocating to this village and took me on a tour, explaining its culture and history. The apartment is in a great location, and I’ve attached the view across from it. Highly recommend staying at Happy Village apartment.

The gentleman who welcomed us called it “a present for the eyes,” and he was right. The sea views were incredible, and the studio was well kept and in a great location. You have to see it to believe it. Great service, and I can’t wait to return to La Vila Joiosa. I’ll 100 percent stay with happyvilla again.

We spent four enjoyable nights here in September and will definitely return. The staff were friendly and helpful, and let us check out in the afternoon. Our clean, well equipped apartment was on the second floor, right on the beach and near lots of good restaurants. The building dates back to 1871, with a lovely original handmade oak front door and high beamed ceilings.
