I had to cancel for a justified reason, but my deposit wasn't returned. I hadn't been told about the cancellation policy before booking and paying it, and I never got a reply to my later complaints. Make sure you confirm all the terms in writing before you book.

Pilar was kind and generous with us, and the place is well located near the main road and a short walk from the main square. We spent a weekend in the upstairs apartment, which was comfortable for eight or even nine people. It felt very cozy, with heating and a wood-burning stove that made the stay even nicer. We loved Villalpando, Zamora, Toro, and Rincón de San Cayetano. The trip left our children with wonderful memories.

We left an item of clothing behind, and Pilar went above and beyond to get it back to us. We didn't see much of the owners during our September stay with nine people, but they answered our questions, and Pilar's help afterward was fantastic. The house itself is charming and very well equipped. Thanks so much for everything.

A cozy country house that works well for a big group, with two separate homes in the same building and plenty of accessories. The owner was super nice. Only thing missing for a perfect stay would be blinds in every room, so the sunrise doesn't wake you up ;)

We found it a very welcoming, roomy country house, with a lovely mix of stone and wood. Nights were a little chilly, the one small downside. Still, it's a great option if you're hoping to have lunch at Lera and the hotel there is full.
