Albergue Serranilla - Hostel

The food was bland, even though we expected more from homemade meals. The walls near our beds were quite damp and smelled awful, with spiders in the room corners. The beds had yellow stains, and most of our group ended up with hives, itching, and quite a few welts, especially around the neck. There were a lot of us, but only one extension cord, so people in the other rooms had to take turns using it overnight. The staff spoke to us like we were six-year-olds, even though they were 17. I read the other reviews before writing, and many of those complaints seem right, in a bad way. If I could give this a zero, I would. I could say more, but I don't want to spend any more time on this. I hope you stop making excuses like in the other reviews and are honest in mine.

There are hiking trails nearby, and plenty of space for activities. We went for a weekend with a group of 70, and the rooms and beds were really comfortable. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended, thanks so much!

The homemade food was delicious, and the bathrooms were very clean. The people running this hostel were super friendly, and the beds were comfortable too. I can only say good things about it, highly recommended.

The private pool was a real plus, and we had a pleasure using it. We camped at the hostel for a week and came away with a very positive impression. Vanessa and the rest of the team were wonderfully welcoming. The facilities were in good condition, and the hostel's food was varied and high quality. We hope to come back!
