Hotel El Emigrante

I've never had a worse hotel stay. There was no hospitality, and the room conditions were terrible. The hotel stayed locked around the clock, but I wasn't given a key to the main door.

The room was very basic and clearly needs updating. We spent the weekend there, and I ran into a parking problem when a car took up two spaces. I asked the receptionist if she could tell the owner so I could park. The hostel owner came out and said I could leave my car in front of the entrance, which is a driveway, but would have to pay €5 to park there and on the street. I said, "Are you kidding me?" Parking in a driveway and charging for it are illegal, as I understand it. I parked next door in a metered space all night without paying. I won't say what I really think, but you can't charge for parking on the street in a driveway or park in a driveway like that. 🙄😳 The morning receptionist was very nice, by the way. Regards

The bed was very uncomfortable, creaked, and had a base that wobbled a lot. The room was €53, plus another €5 for parking, and a bottle of water cost €2.20. For that price, the place felt like a complete rip-off and a total scam. The hotel is rather old and shabby, and there isn't a receptionist available 24 hours, so you have to call the owner.

The rooms are spacious, with both air conditioning and heating, and everything was very clean. It's a very welcoming hotel. I haven't had lunch or dinner at the restaurant, but it looks good.
