The service was great, and the facilities were nice. It’s a beautiful old style hotel and really good for the price.

We had a wonderful week here during the Colombres Rally. The room had a great view, and I think most rooms have balconies. Inside, the hotel is very attractive, though the outside looks a little tired. Still, don’t let that put you off. It was nice, clean, and comfortable. Our hostess and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. When we offered some flexibility after an emergency involving her husband, she kindly left us a box of special gluten free chocolates. Breakfast was plentiful and good, and she asked what might be missing that she and the other British guest would like. Drinks are available from a well stocked bar, served in the garden or the very comfortable lounge. We plan to stay again, hopefully with our wives next time.

The gardens were excellent, the lounge was very comfortable, and the views were fabulous in every direction. The beds were good and so was the bathroom. Staff were friendly and very helpful, but there was no bar, though you could ask for drinks, and no dinners were available. Given the somewhat remote location, I think they’re missing an opportunity there. Breakfast was at 8:30 or 9:00 prompt. I couldn’t help comparing the place to Fawlty Towers! 🤣

The manager was friendly and very helpful, and speaks excellent English. We felt more like visiting friends than hotel guests. It’s a quiet, spacious Period Hotel, run to a very high standard. The village is an ideal base for exploring the Picos National Park. Very highly recommended.

A relaxing, comfortable night, with a wonderful view of the pastures from our bedroom. Breakfast was lovely, with homemade treats, in this beautiful historic mansion.
