Casona del Valle

The food was all very good. Our torreznos weren't crispy, though the meat itself was really good quality, and they also have Yzaguirre vermouth. We were a group of 10 and called that morning to book lunch two days ago, which was no problem. The place is right by the labyrinth, an easy walk away, and there's plenty to choose from: set menus, kids' menus, mixed platters, and a €20 regular menu with a starter, main, drink, and dessert.

It's quiet and well placed for getting to lovely beaches and hiking trails. The hotel itself is simple, clean, and welcoming, with friendly staff, a lovely owner, and very good food. Breakfast leans too sweet for me, with cakes and pastries, but they'll make toast with ham, olive oil, and salt, or with butter and jam, if you ask. Fresh orange juice comes with it. I'd happily come back.

We came hoping to have dinner based on the menu shown in the reviews, but the place was closed. I can't tell whether it's still operating. The sign at the parking entrance mentioned an evening menu, but gave no hours and didn't say whether they close on certain days. The reviews are already four or five years old. Everything looks like it would be delicious, so I'm leaving three stars as a neutral rating.

The customer service was outstanding, and the restaurant's decor fits its theme really well. There's a large terrace and marquees for events. You can order à la carte or choose a set menu, both with unbeatable value. Definitely recommended, and I'll be back.
