The roads and views are something else, and the prices are very reasonable. The hotel is clean and welcoming, with a restaurant and bar area. A must if you’re a biker planning to ride the Silent Route.

The pool outside has lovely mountain views and is a great place to unwind. The hotel is modern and clean inside an old building, which gives it a historic, rustic feel. Service was impeccable and the food was great. It’s also in a great spot for riding the Silent Route by bike.

The staff try to help and keep smiling, but the hotel needs repairs. There’s mold everywhere, and the tiles aren’t properly clean. Lunch was overcooked and tasteless, as if the cooks were in love. The pool was dirty too. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Hostal de la Trucha is a wonderful place to spend a quiet night in nature, with a restaurant, bar, and pool available. The staff are courteous, the menu is good, and the service met my expectations. It’s a converted old paper mill in an incredible, secluded setting. I got there by motorbike along the A-1702, better known as THE SILENT ROUTE. This country road is a little over 60km long, in very good condition, and runs through beautiful valleys and hills. It’s a must for motorcyclists, and absolutely worth riding if you’re in the area.
