Carmen and Aquilino really know Teruel, especially the Maestrazgo region. They love the area and share that enthusiasm, along with genuinely useful advice for planning trips around it. The house itself is peaceful and full of charm, decorated with care and taste. It’s a lovely spot in any season, with a patio where you can slow down and enjoy your stay.

Carmen was still around when we were leaving, so she took us on a walk through the prettiest part of the village and explained the history of each place. She was so attentive, and we headed off really happy. Before that, the owners had pointed us toward places to see and the best routes. The house has two bedrooms, six beds including one double, and a fireplace, all in a beautiful setting. They were very kind to us. Thanks :-)

Carmen noticed the heating wasn’t working properly and called us about it before we’d even realized. She sorted it out right away. We spent three comfortable nights at El Patio del Maestrazgo. The house feels welcoming, has everything you need, and a roomy living area with a sofa and armchairs. We’d happily recommend it.

Carmen was lovely and made sure we had the information we needed about places nearby, from natural scenery to towns rich in history, art, and distinctive architecture. The house was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and welcoming, with more than we could have asked for. One of the best trips we’ve had in recent years, and we came away with an incredible memory. We’ll definitely return.

The village is tiny, but you can get the basics there: a general store, doctor’s office, pharmacy, bakery, bar, and restaurant. The store also cures ham, and the one we bought was delicious. Our stay was wonderful too. The place is rustic, clean, and well equipped, and Doña Carmen did everything she could to make us comfortable and provide what we needed. I’d highly recommend both the accommodation and Villarroya de los Pinares.
