Hostal El Delfin Verde

The staff were welcoming and really nice, and the meal was the best I had on the Camino. Definitely recommend!

Our toilet was blocked when we arrived, so we couldn’t use it. We reported it early in the afternoon, but no plumber was called; instead, we were given a bucket. The swimming pool, listed as one of the main features, was drained and unusable, which could be disappointing if you’re hoping to cool off after a long walk. The facilities were otherwise clean and well presented. We’d looked forward to a private room as a treat while walking the Camino, but the night was disappointing. Our room faced the rear courtyard, and because it was hot we needed the windows open. Dogs barked for hours, kitchen staff argued loudly, and bins clattered as they were emptied well past midnight. It was still noisy at 12:10am. This might suit tourists who stay up late, but pilgrims who sleep early and get up early should be cautious. Looking back, we wish we’d moved on. Others may have a different experience, but for fellow pilgrims wanting a peaceful night’s rest, this may not be the best choice.

We stayed here while walking the Camino. There was a lot of noise, with cars and trucks going past all the time. Cleanliness was average. I don’t think the room was worth 55 euros.

I only went to the restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was fresh, tasty, and delicious, with a lovely home-cooked feel. I’m Asturian, and their faves with bacalao and prawns were to die for. The staff were really friendly and nice.
