The New Year's dinner staff were wonderful, and breakfast had a great selection of local food. We had a lovely stay, especially in our room inside the tower, which was a lot of fun. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out and practical.

The village location in Villatoro didn't really work for us, and the price felt too high for what the hotel offers. The modern architecture is interesting, but it seems to put the building itself ahead of the guest experience. Service was mixed, good at times and less so at others. You could say form and function have got their priorities turned around here.

Just an ugly place.

I won't trust this place again. Jorge, the receptionist, gave me a price over the phone and told me to book through the website because he couldn't make the reservation himself. The website showed a higher price, and when I asked about it, he said he'd made a mistake. I booked at that higher quoted price anyway, but when it came time to pay, they added another 50 euros. I called and was told they were sorry, that was just how the system worked, and that we could try to agree on a middle ground. You can judge that for yourselves. The whole experience was a disgrace.

The hotel was stylish and elegant, and everything was impeccably clean. We stayed for the reopening weekend in May 2026. It was clear they were short-staffed because of the reopening, but the people who were there were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made up for some of the expected teething problems. A really good spot to unwind.
