Hotel Alameda looked promising, but dealing with its staff and policies was unbelievably frustrating. The cancellation policy was vague and confusing, and seemed set up so guests couldn't understand what they were agreeing to. I repeatedly tried to get a clear answer about cancellation terms and refunds, but it was nearly impossible to reach anyone capable by phone. Calls went unanswered, messages weren't returned, and each time I finally spoke to someone, I got conflicting information. For a hotel charging premium New York prices, the customer service was shockingly bad. Guests making expensive travel decisions should at least get transparency. Instead, Hotel Alameda came across as evasive and disorganized, with no concern for customer issues. A reputable hotel makes its policies clear and treats guests professionally. Hotel Alameda did neither. If you value honest communication and responsive service, book somewhere else.

We were traveling by motorbike, so the private parking was useful. For 55 EUR, the double room with unlimited breakfast was a good rate. It's a very good hotel in Villaviciosa with everything you need.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the room is spacious and clean. There was even a fan, a nice surprise, and the view looks out to the mountains. Communication before arrival was quick and very helpful, and the location is good.
