The village and the scenery around it are SPECTACULAR. We stayed at this small, charming country hotel and felt welcome right away. Irene was such a lovely hostess, helping us with loads of useful information about the area. And her cooking is incredible, especially the cheesecake. Don’t miss it! 😛😛😛😛 Yolanda
Irene was really nice and suggested places to visit. We also enjoyed her restaurant, especially the cheese. The stay met our expectations: the heating worked, and at least in our room, the bed was big and comfortable.
Irene’s homemade cooking was a highlight, and she’s a wonderful host. Casa Somera is a charming little rural hotel where you feel right at home, tucked away in a lovely corner of La Rioja. I’ll definitely come back.
The setting is spectacular, and Irene is a warm host who’s always smiling. She cooks exceptionally well and helped us discover some marvelous places in the region. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
The place itself is fantastic, which makes this even more disappointing. My Smartbox covers 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, and 2 dinners, but when I tried to book, I was told dinner was included only Monday to Thursday, while the Smartbox website says it’s available every day. They wanted me to pay the full €150 for 2 nights, even though booking those nights yourself costs around €40 per person. If they don’t want to accept Smartbox, they shouldn’t advertise with them. Other reviews mention guests being charged extra for using a box here, too. Find somewhere better to use your gift box. It’s a shame that this kind of thing spoils such a great place, and you’ll regret it afterwards.
