We stayed at the villa in early April 2025, eight of us in total, six adults and two children, with two cars. Our family has been coming to Vinuela for 25 years because we have family living near the lake, and this may be the best villa we've stayed in during all that time. The garden has fantastic views over the lake, and the villa was very clean. There is outdoor parking for at least four cars, and lots of space to relax around the property or let the kids play on the lawn. The clean pool and tidy BBQ area were a delight to spend time around. The kitchen is large and has everything else we needed, but there is NO oven, so pizza or chicken nuggets for the children aren't an option unless you get takeaway from one of the restaurants. Also, a couple of beds in one bedroom need updating. Those are the two reasons we didn't give five stars. Apart from them, it's a great place to stay and I'd recommend it.

Antonio was a gentleman, attentive and very helpful. He knew the area well and suggested good beaches and restaurants. We had an unfortunate accident that caused some damage to the property, but we sorted it out amicably with him. The house is older, but well maintained, clean and everything worked. It's spacious, has a good-sized pool and the amenities we needed, including air conditioning for the summer heat. There is no oven, but the dedicated outdoor barbecue was great. We made a lot of use of the barbecue area, sunbeds, shaded spots and large tables. The terrace views were spectacular, especially with a morning coffee. We were a group of eight, five adults and three children, and spent a wonderful two weeks in Casa Rocio y Paloma. You do need a car for getting there, shopping and going to the beach, but it's a great base for driving to Andalucian towns and cities such as Malaga, Cordoba, Granada, Seville and Ronda. Ants are everywhere, which may bother some people, though that's a regional issue rather than a problem with the property. The nearest beach is in Torre del Mar, about 20 minutes away, but we found it rocky, dirty, overcrowded, poorly maintained and difficult for parking. Nerja is around 40 minutes away and has several really good sandy beaches. I'd rate the property 4.5 stars for quality and a full 5/5 for value. We highly recommend it.

The bumpy track up to this house is worth it for the views over the lake. Its garden gets loads of sun, and the outdoor BBQ is brilliant. Such an amazing house.
