Las Coles Apartasuites

We stayed with our two small kids and a dog, and the apartment was comfortable and well equipped. The listing doesn’t show that it’s right by a square full of great restaurants, which makes it a perfect location.

The room itself was comfortable, and my cat enjoyed staying at this pet-friendly hotel. But on the first night, the broken hairdryer and empty reception left me unable to dry my hair, so I had to sleep with it wet. It was a horrible experience, and the hotel should check that everything works. The reception guy came up the next morning and helped sort out the issues.

We’ve never been treated so badly at a place. On arrival, nobody was there except a woman who knew nothing and explained nothing. When the owner, or whoever was in charge, showed up, all they did was ask if breakfast at 9 would suit us. The next morning, every other table had several pieces of toast, fruit and yogurts. We were offered one croissant and one piece of toast each. Then we found a 10€ cot charge added. If you charge for a cot, you must say so when the guest asks for one. It felt like a complete rip-off. Staff mostly didn’t wear masks, and two dogs blocked the door. The staff were awful.

I loved how sympathetically the building had been restored. We had an excellent stay, with restaurants nearby, easy access to the train and a good route up to the castle.
