The river area is lovely, with its walking path and picnic spots.

There’s lots of room here for all kinds of sports. The futsal and basketball halls get extremely hot, though. It would be nice to have a little bar or kiosk, even if it only opened during matches.

Do you really need to book just to get in? You have to go to the website, enter your details, then get a QR code to scan at the entrance. I miss when you could simply buy a ticket and walk in.

There’s free parking, and the sports department offices are open in the mornings from 09:00 to 14:00. The facilities include indoor sports halls and all sorts of outdoor courts and tracks for athletics, football, tennis, padel, and more. There’s also a heated pool that serves as the municipal outdoor pool in summer, plus maintenance gymnastics classes run by the Ayuntamiento. For me, this is Zamora’s main place to play sports.
