Apartamenticos Boggiero II

The apartment was a filthy, old, falling-apart mess. There were leaks in the bedroom, cockroaches in the bed, loose faucet handles, and a toilet tank that wasn't secure. The entrance was disgusting too, dirty and smelly. Don't make the mistake we did by renting this dump.

The place is very close to the center, in a somewhat rough neighborhood, though it didn't seem dangerous. Inside, the sofa and walls were very dirty, and the electrical panel was filthy; the differential switch didn't work. The apartment was freezing when we arrived, even though they knew guests were coming on cold days, and the AC didn't heat well. There was such a strong air-freshener smell that anyone sensitive to it should be careful. The walls are paper thin, so we could hear half the neighbors talking. The keys are in a box on a porch behind a gate, and if one falls to the floor, you can't reach it.

I felt ripped off. We stopped in Zaragoza on our way back from a trip because we had a reservation at a restaurant that was closing shortly after opening. Since we'd booked accommodation anyway, we planned to use the chance to see the city. The apartment is well kept inside, but it's in a troubled neighborhood, down an alley where a homicide has even happened. You have to collect the key from a box, and I only had contact with them through WhatsApp. They also ask for a €100 deposit. The shower screen felt like a "look at me, don't touch me" situation; when we opened it, my 3-year-old daughter almost fell on it. We spent the night with noise and disturbances from neighbors, and someone rang our doorbell at 1 am. I'll never go back.

There was a broken window, and after a terrible night in the middle of January I asked for a refund for the remaining days. The company refused, saying the apartment with the broken window was in "habitable condition." There was also no hot water for more than five minutes, and I had to collect the key in a hidden, dark alley where a tourist could easily be ambushed or robbed. I booked through Booking.com, whose reviews I wouldn't trust because they seemed biased. The accommodation is in one of the city's most dangerous neighborhoods, despite being central. I DO NOT RECOMMEND staying with APARTAMENTICOS, a company I found to have no security or ethics.
