The building has a basement, three floors, and a double attic, with eaves that reinterpret the original, which is now almost entirely lost. Entry is through a semicircular arch into a small central courtyard connecting the rooms. Argensola Palace, also called Casa Mercadal, is a Renaissance palatial building from the 16th century and was the residence of the Albion family. It passed to the Mercadal family in the mid-19th century, and they made significant renovations. A complete restoration in the 1990s adapted it for residential use.
