El Balcón de Boggiero I

We had trouble relaxing here, mainly because the building was so noisy: doors slamming, blinds, and constant sounds from the light well, which seemed to be the entrance to a garage or something. We could also hear people late at night and early in the morning. The streets are very narrow, and groups of people from different nationalities gather there to deal drugs. Young people ride bicycles, so we kept feeling we might get robbed, especially in the back alleys. We wanted somewhere peaceful, even if it was farther from the center, and wouldn't stay here again. The apartment itself was a decent size and clean, except for the oven. The toilet cistern didn't work properly, so we had to turn off the water after using it. I also thought the kitchen was short on utensils: three frying pans but just one small saucepan, not enough to cook a decent meal. There was a decent knife and a dish sponge, but no dishcloth or paper towels. The bed felt too soft to us, and the extra pillows in the closet had no pillowcases. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked fine.

The stairs up to the entrance were in terrible shape, and with no elevator and poor lighting, carrying our luggage up and down was difficult. Inside, though, we had a fantastic stay. It was all very clean and easy to get to, and they had kindly left us some breakfast items, including a coffee maker.

The entrance stairs are small and a bit run-down. In the master bathroom, a small screen would help stop water splashing across the whole floor. The apartment is very spacious, with two double beds, two bathrooms, and a kitchen that opens onto the living room. The milk and coffee capsules were a nice touch, though they don't cater to special requests such as vegan ones. It would be good to have a zero-waste option and somewhere to recycle, along with soap dispensers that could be refilled from a carafe.

I haven't been able to use the bathroom for two days because the shower water just sits there. When I flush, water comes up through the shower. They've been to the apartment twice, supposedly to fix it, but when I get back from work the problem is still there. The agency keeps saying they'll sort it out, but they haven't. I've paid for services I'm not getting, and have had to scramble to find somewhere nearby to use a bathroom. It's disgraceful to rent a place in this state.
