We had to leave at 3 a.m. to get away from the bedbugs. We were in two rooms with six beds each, and every bed was infested. Looking at the reviews now, it sounds like this has been going on for weeks without anything changing, and we still haven't had an answer from the hostel service. I'd give this place no star at all if I could. Stay far away.

I've stayed in several other albergues and hostels, so I can say Galerna in Zarautz felt very average for room size, cleanliness and general atmosphere. I wouldn't stay there again.

The person in charge treated guests poorly. He rushed us rudely as we were already heading out, ten minutes before the checkout time. Not a good place to stay.

The sheets were changed daily and the bathroom stayed clean. It was also handy for the train, bus and beach, about 10 minutes away. But the room was so humid, and the noisy fan had to run all night. We couldn't open the windows to air it out, and sleeping was impossible. It was hard to breathe in there too. They hadn't checked my reservation, even though I'd paid in advance, and still asked me for 20€. Nobody told me about the WiFi or the available services, including the coffee machine and laundry machine. Stay away.

I forgot my pants there. He said he'd send them, but he deliberately ignores my messages. He's a liar. If anyone goes there, please ask him to send my things back.
