The hotel is a long way from central Adama, or Nazerat. There aren’t many places to shop nearby, and the ride to the center takes almost 20 minutes by bus or taxi. The location does have a nearby Orthodox church for anyone interested. Inside, service and hospitality were good, the rooms were clean, and the housekeepers took care of what you needed. WiFi worked well in most areas, and water pressure was great with both hot and cold options. Some rooms had lighting issues, though, and wind blowing through the corridors made doors rattle at night.

The owner is a great guy, even if he’s not a good manager. He tries to make up for service gaps caused by understaffing, but customer service still wasn’t satisfactory. The hotel is new, yet they overbooked us and we couldn’t get food. I also didn’t like that VIP service was reserved for certain people, even though we were in the same group. Paying customers couldn’t even get a simple coffee because it all went to the “VIPs.” Maybe things will improve in a couple of years, but they aren’t good today.

This is a very good resort in Ethiopia and Africa. It has parking, restaurants, a 24-hour front desk, a spa and wellness services, electric car charging, pools, WiFi, and room service.
