For the price, the facilities are very good, even though the hotel is a little way from the city centre. The staff are friendly and smile a lot, and the restaurant is excellent. I did miss a few basics, though: there was no shampoo or toothbrush, and I hope they’ll provide them.

I’ve stayed here many times, partly because the free airport transfer is dependable. The room is clean, with a big, soft bed, and the Wi-Fi is unusually fast and reliable compared with other hotels in the city. I’m not sure how they manage that, but it works.

Piazza is a handy, fairly central base, and you can walk to the shops. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the Wi-Fi is quick and steady, the menu is very good, and the bar is well stocked. The owner is welcoming, and airport transfers are available. For the money, it’s superb value. I’d highly recommend it, unless you’re willing to pay twice as much to stay somewhere better in Addis.

The hotel itself felt safe and comfortable, even though the surrounding neighbourhood isn’t very attractive and might make you feel uneasy. It worked well for a comfortable overnight stay while waiting for a connecting flight.

A lovely place to stay, with friendly staff. I especially liked the vegetable curry, which was amazing if you’re not that keen on traditional Ethiopian food.
