Black Horse Hotel Apartment

The shower was great, with just the right pressure and hot water, though there was no bath mat. I couldn’t work out the TV, probably because of my own language barrier. The food was full of flavor, and I regret not trying the rice until my last meal. I felt safe and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. The room Wi-Fi took a couple of attempts to fix, so I’d resigned myself to working in the lobby, but management kept at it and I ended up with a really good 5G connection.

A good place. The best part is the staff, especially the spa team, who are very nice and professional.

I came to Addis for work planning to stay a couple of weeks while I looked for an apartment, and somehow stayed at Black Horse for the whole year. They upgraded my room for free and treated me like family the entire time. The staff, from housekeeping to management, are incredibly kind, and the food, hygiene, comfort, and location were all great. The SPA is a must try. Black Horse became my regular spot, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Breakfast was a mess: dirty cups, no coffee, only Lipton tea, no sugar or clean plates, and cold rice. I’ve never come across a hotel that didn’t serve coffee in the morning. The bathroom floor had bits of toilet paper on it, the sheets were dirty and seemed reused, with plenty of hair on them. There was no A/C or heater in the room.
